I was introduced to grooming when I got a Saturday job as a bather and dryer in a grooming shop. That led to me learning grooming formally at Caythorpe Agricultural College and I established Kuts For Mutts after this in 1998. I continue to attend grooming seminars and competitions to keep my knowledge up-to-date. 

For several years I have competed with my Bedlington Terriers at open and championship dog shows. I am proud to have made up two Champions, one winning best male Bedlington at Crufts. I have groomed other exhibitors Bedlingtons to their titles and have given seminars and demonstrations on the breed. I am a member of two UK breed clubs. I have judged for the Bedlington Terrier since 2010 and was approved by the Royal Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates for the breed in 2021, 2024 and next in 2027.
